Home Day 8: “Ask and you shall receive”

Day 8: “Ask and you shall receive”

 Matthew 7:7-12

When you pray, do you pray as if the one you pray to needs convincing? When you pray do you pray as if God needs appeasing? Have you ever prayed as if the one you pray to loves you more than you can ever love yourself? And that is how we should pray. The way we pray shows or reveals the way we look at God. God is not a corrupt policeman that needs to be bribed in order to give us what we need. He is not a judge that weighs our good and bad with relevant evidences and then gives us what we need when we are found innocent. God treats us like a mother treats her only child. And so, God cannot wait to give us what we need, always at the right time.

When next you pray, pray with confidence, knowing that the one you pray to, loves and cares for you more than you can ever possibly love and care for yourselves.

Ask then and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened for you. God is always on time.

May God bless you all with the knowledge of a God that loves all of humanity.
