Acts 19: 1 – 8
“We were never told that there was such a thing as the Holy Spirit”.
This was the response of the community of Ephesus when Paul asked them if they had received the Holy Spirit. We may not ask the same question, but do we really know who the Holy Spirit is and what He does in our lives? The Holy Spirit is more than speaking in tongues or healing the infirmed. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. He is the wind that blew through the valley of dry bones in the Book of the Prophet Ezekiel. He is the life giving breath of God.
As we await his visitation into our heart, let us open our wound, expose our limitations and unveil our brokenness for the breath of God to blow over us. Are we ready for the Spirit that lived in Jesus to live in us? The Holy Spirit wants to make his home with us. When he enters our heart, a new creation emerges. We become a new being. May God give us the courage to open our hearts to Him. Come O Holy Spirit Come!
Holy Spirit sanctify me. Amen!
May God bless you and family.
